This copy was owned and signed by Larry Snead: Larry Snead The world of trails and adventure lost a great friend when Larry Snead passed away on July 19, 2019 at the age of 85. Under his decades of leadership, many of the 800 miles of the Arizona National Scenic Trail were built. The Arizona Trail and more recently completed 315-mile Maricopa Trail continue to be maintained by segment stewards, land managers and hundreds of volunteers who faithfully carry on Larry’s legacy of preserving these statewide and county treasures for future generations. Larry led a diverse life of adventure that included hiking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and traveling to more than 100 countries and islands around the world, but none meant more to Larry than the wild beauty and reverent tribute to nature that he felt when he was on trails in Arizona.
